Chapter 1 – Xtreme Squad 2

A crowd of Media outlets had packed out a room at the Prime Leader’s Government House located in the heart of the City of Demon. The new Prime Leader arrived from the back ground of curtains to address the media.

“As Prime Leader as you know who I am, my name Charles Thompson and I have been working hard with my government to decrease the crime rates here in The City of Demons. My return to the government was based on improving the City of Demons. To give it a new image of the world we once lived in. Many people have fought and lost their lives to fight for this day. Crime rates have dropped however I understand it’s still not good enough. The rates are at it’s lowest in many years. It is my task to explore this world and to reach out to the other areas of the planet to see what we can achieve from that. I thank you all for being here and the work will contiune,” Mr. Thompson said in front of the flashing lights of the media. He quickly moved away from the scene, gave a wave to everyone and headed into the back rooms when an advisor appeared next to him.

“Your visitors are here. Do you wish to see them now?” she asked.

“Yes I’ll see them now thanks,” Charles answered her.

Charles made his move into his new office and three visitors were sitting at a table where he smiled towards them, “Allegheri, Frithdar and Lucas Walken.  Just the ones I needed to talk to,”

Allegheri the old vampire nodded while Lucas and Frithdar leaned in at the table where Charles sat down with them. It had been a while since the first appearance of Lucas Walken’s Xtreme Squad. It had been successful in helping reduce the crime in the City of Demons despite their confusion over their very first case.

“I spoke to your father in the past fortnight. He’s quite happy with his teachings again at the new school that was built to replace the old College in the Second Life World.” Charles said to Lucas.

“I’m more interested in why you would ask me to come here with these two. This meeting sounds like a task for Chisoutsa.”

“You would think that but you are a Walken and a rookie wizard.  You have the right mix of Chisoutsa and your father for this special investigation I am opening in complete privacy.  The Xtreme Squad has been a good service but I feel like you can spread your wings to other parts of the world. Allegheri, do you know about the Angels?” Charles asked, grabbing a familiar old wine bottle where he had many a drink with Professor Walken back in the days of Chisoutsa searching for Censilo the demon lord in the City of Demons.

“Even with all the years of experience I have, there is little I know of the Angels. They were private figures, unable to die for some reason, very much hidden from the world. They do not own a land like the vampires or demons did,” the old wise vampire replied.

“That’s right. But you would know much about the Tower of Angels, the myth of a tower of where the angels lived. Some have seen it and others have not. We have had a latest sighting of it in the City of Demons near the graveyard. Lucas your sister visited the area once before. One of our government officials was there to see it appear with his own eyes. A few hours later the Tower itself was gone again. This doesn’t make much sense to us at all. Until something caught us by surprise,” Charles explained to them.

Frithdar was writing down the notes using his fingers and a little magic to ink the papers he had with him, “What was that, what could surprise you?”

“A half burnt cigar,” Charles answered sipping his wine and leaning back in his chair.

“What was special about this cigar?”

Charles revealed a small box from his pocket and placed it on the table. He opened it to reveal the cigar as a rich smell came from it, “This was a uniquely hand crafted one, only used by one person we know of. Besides this person had the money to import it from far away and ordered in bulk based on past details given to me,” Charles said.

“Who owns them?” Allegheri said leaning in to view it.

“Mr. Umezu.”

Lucas pulled a strange face and looked at the cigar, “Now that I remember with what Chisoutsa told me. He had a few of these when they found him in the Convoitise Village. He’s had a habit of staying alive. Do you really think something wrong has happened to him?.”

“We don’t know anymore about this case. I want you three and the Xtreme Squad to investigate it and unlock the key to the Tower of Angels. Alan Richards wants to talk to you guys about this issue. He has been working on the matter in the past month.”

Allegheri rose from his chair and nodded his head, “We’ll help you just this once. I’m interested to see if Mr. Umezu is truly alive or not.” The three of them marched out the doors and Charles Thompson sipped some more wine thinking of the investigation and the new work he has before him.

“Now I know why I left the government in the first place. The stress of it all!”

The following night Lucas Walken was sitting out the back of the Xtreme Squad house with Jasper on chairs looking at the somewhat cleaner river they lived next to. Jasper was blowing smoke rings out of a cigar that he found.

“These Umezu cigars are great,” he commented.

“They’re a brand he buys. I’m surprised that we’ll on a search party to find him but finding the tower of angels is the real deal for us. For the past year and more we’ll be busy with the City of Demons and this might be a break for us all. I spoke to Alan Richards earlier today. He didn’t have much to say expect Mr Umezu was trekking out in the area where he was lost,” Lucas replied wandering around the beach backyard.

Kuzuki was in beach wear and towel when she came outside holing some papers for Lucas and handed them to him, “The Angels were hard to find info on Lucas. Even the Librarian was struggling to come up for information and he knows everyone and everything in history. All he said was they weren’t fans of vampires and demons and kept to themselves.”

Lucas nodded reading the papers while Kuzuki sat on Jasper’s lap and grabbed his cigar, “I got her trained,” Jasper replied rubbing her leg looking out on the water.

“Yuri was working on the pathway there. Any issues I should know of?”

“She didn’t find anything to be a problem of. It’s pretty much a walk up and there it is,” Kuzuki commented.

“My plan is to bring you two and Yuri you will stay here to keep a watch of things. I think Charles might want you three on something he was talking to me about. Tomorrow you can go and find that one out.  You better get there on time or Mamoru will kick your ass Jasper,” Lucas reminded him.

“Alright man, you go off and practise your magic stuff. That’s why you’re tagging with the old vampire and wizard aren’t ya. I’ll never understand magic myself, Jasper replied while Lucas walked back inside.

Kuzuki puffed on the cigar and massaged herself on Jasper’s lap, “Tower of Angels, kinda wish I was going but the boss said we gotta stay here and work on something that Charles wants us to do. We can find our own entertainment,” Jasper smiled wiggling down his shorts and Kuzuki throwing off her towel. She lowered herself onto Jasper as he wrapped his hand around her blonde hair pulling it. Jasper pulled her chair hard as she rode him slowly.

“Yeah, we’ll go tomorrow to see him,” Jasper thought out loud.

Kuzuki sighed as Jasper lifted her up from the seat and continue to thrust her until he was finished. He gently put her down on the seat and dragged on the cigar. Jasper looked around the waters and noticed some of the city lights were turned off, “Looks dark tonight, why are some of the building lights are turned off for,” he wondered.

Kuzuki got back up and Jasper hit her backside, “Get indoors, too cold for you. We’ll got work tomorrow you know!” As she playfully went inside Jasper gave a last look at the lights and wondered what was going on.

The early morning arrived and Lucas was with Allegheri and Frithdar had arrived at the edge of the north of the City of Demons together to search for the tower of angels. Beyond the city was a mix of dry land and bushes that had been kept alone for decades but some believed it would be used to expand the city if they needed the land.

“The tower should be just over there. But I don’t see anything,” Lucas commented on the issue.

“This is not what I hoping to find out. This was the correct location that Charles gave us. We should cover this area and see what we can find,” Allegheri replied.

The three of them adventured off into the unknown area beyond the city as Lucas and Frithdar searched the short buses and trees for the tower of angels. After some time Lucas pointed out a shadow in the distance, “Come look at this this must be the tower!”

Frithdar paced himself jogging after him and with Allegheri after him too. The pair arrived to where Lucas was and Frithdar saw the modest sized tower of angels sitting in its way.

“Well it’s something made by the angels, their way of creating building was always different and beautiful. Nothing that I’ve seen in other lands of this world,” Frithdar noted smiling at its beauty.

“Allegheri what do you think of it?” Lucas asked him when he arrived to the spot.

“I’m afraid I can’t the tower of angels at all but I know that you two can,” Allegheri replied.

Frithdar and Lucas both turned back at Allegheri in amazement that he couldn’t see what they saw, “You can’t see a large tower right in front of us. What form of magic is this?” Lucas asked himself. No one quite knew at that point.

Frithdar and Lucas stood back as Allegheri was not able to see the Tower for himself. He reached out his arm to see if he could touch it and he pressed against the doors.
“I can touch it but i can’t see it.” he noted to the pair.
Frithdar studied the walls of the tower and he touched the doors with his hand and a grey light glowed on his hand and he nodded to himself.
“What did you notice from the doors?” Lucas asked Frithdar.
“Because the Angels dislike the Vampires and the Demons they made the power that the Tower cannot be seen by their eyes. It protects them from attacks. However now the two big threats in Censilo and the Lust Vampire is gone, it’s really not needed anymore” he answered.
“Would he be able to see inside the Tower?”
“Yes he should be able to but there might be things he can’t see as extra protection by the angels. Mostly they would think they don’t need it if they can’t find the doorway inside the place” Frithdar replied.

The tower guided Allegheri him inside the Tower as they saw a lit up white hall room in the centre and a spinning stairs leading upstairs. Lucas moved across to the stairs raised an eyebrow,” There’s like fifty levels in this Tower. It’s bigger on the inside then it is on the outside.”
“Another trick by the Angels” Allegheri commented.
The trio looked up the stairs as Frithdar noticed something flying in the air. He turned around and yelled “Get away!”
A group of angels flew down to the hall room and pulled a set of cross bows and started firing at them. Frithdar and Lucas let off some shield attacks on them to defect the crossbows. The angels were white but had black wings with green eyes lifting up the rooms. The lights in the room switched off as the trio hid behind a table in the corner.
“As I remember, Angels were pure white with some silver in their wings. Why are these angels have black?” Allegheri asked.
I have no clue to be honest. I have never seen those before but we have to take them down if we like it or not. ” Frithdar cried out.

Allegheri moved out of the table corner and deflected a number of bows. He rushed up to ne of them and knocked him down to the ground. Frithdar and Lucas came out after Allegheri. Lucas out a slender pistol from his side and fired a few shot at the Black Angels. The glowing of the night came through the windows but gave little light to everyone inside. Frithdar noticed a door up the stairs started to rush up the stairs. Allegheri and Lucas followed him as the Black Angels gave chase. The trio smashed the door open and shut it tight. Frithdar and Lucas pressed on the door as the Black Angels pushed on the other side. With their backs against the door, Allegheri dropped his sword and grabbed a large piece of wood and placed it over the door so no one could come in.
“We’re safe for now. We will stay here for the time being” Lucas said.
Allegheri turned away in the room and saw a bed with a body covered in a blanket. He slowly moved towards the body and pulled down the cover.
“This is Mr. Umezu and I don’t know what state he’s in” he replied.
Frithdar came in and watched from behind his shoulder, “You are right. Is he dead or he’s alive? The three of them watched Mr. Umezu wondering what to do now…
